This research aimed to investigate the effects of Quizlet Flashcards (QFs) on vocabulary retention of two groups of Tenth Grade students (60 students) from two different senior high schools in Banda Aceh. The quasi-experimental research design was implemented. This study employed the non-probability sampling technique to determine the composition of both the experimental and control groups. A new word test was administered to select 60 target words and the Quizlet Flashcards (QFs) were used to help the participants learn the words. The scores of the pre-test and the post-test were analysed using the independent t-test, paired sample t-test and descriptive statistics. The score comparison and total improvement score in percentage were also presented. The results of the questionnaires in the student's feedback form were analysed descriptively through frequency counts, percentages, mean scores, and standard deviation. The qualitative data from the semi-structured students_ interview was transcribed, categorised and coded using content analysis. The paired sample t-test results are (t=19.284, df=29, p |
