Abstract : Perpustakaan Tuanku Bainun
Efikasi kendiri pengaturcaraan (EKP) dan kemahiran pemikiran komputasional (KPK) menyumbang kepada kemahiran pengaturcaraan pelajar. Namun, pelajar kurang menguasai dua aspek tersebut. Justeru, kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti tahap EKP dan tahap KPK. Kajian ini juga bertujuan mengenal pasti perbezaan EKP dan KPK mengikut jantina dan latar belakang akademik. Seterusnya, kajian ini juga mengenal pasti peramal utama EKP berpandukan kepada lima KPK iaitu kemahiran kreativiti, pemikiran algoritma, kerjasama, pemikiran kritis, dan penyelesaian masalah. Cabaran dan strategi ketika pelajar belajar pengaturcaraan secara dalam talian turut diberi fokus dalam kajian ini. Kajian kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk tinjauan soal-selidik ini melibatkan seramai 185 pelajar yang dipilih secara rawak bersistematik. Soal selidik telah disahkan oleh tiga pakar (purata peratus persetujuan = 80 % dan keatas). Kebolehpercayaan konstruk bagi kemahiran pemikiran komputasional ( __ = 0.93) dan efikasi kendiri pengaturcaraan (__ = 0.93) adalah baik. Dapatan kajian dianalisis secara deskriptif, inferensi dan analisis bertema. Keseluruhannya, tahap EKP dan tahap KPK adalah pada tahap sederhana tinggi. Tiada perbezaan EKP dan KPK mengikut jantina pelajar, namun, terdapat perbezaan signifikan dalam EKP mengikut latar belakang pengajian semasa SPM. Kajian ini berjaya membuktikan gabungan lima jenis KPK merupakan peramal signifikan EKP pelajar program multimedia (nilai r2=0.41, p< 0.05). Pemikiran kritis (_ = 0.46, t = 5.21, p = 0.00), kreativiti (_ = 0.19, t = 2.12, p = 0.04) dan algoritma (_ =0.20, t =2.64, p = 0.01) merupakan peramal EKP yang signifikan. Manakala, kerjasama dan penyelesaian masalah bukan peramal signfikan kepada EKP. Berpandukan kepada nilai beta terbesar, pemikiran kritis ialah peramal utama EKP. Kesimpulannya, EKP dan KPK perlu diberi fokus dalam program pengajian multimedia, kerana dua aspek ini menyumbang kepada kemahiran pengaturcaraan yang baik. Sumbangan kajian ini adalah dari aspek kerangka teori, soalselidik yang dialih bahasa dan juga saranan bagi kajian lanjutan.
