Abstract : Perpustakaan Tuanku Bainun

The present study aimed to investigate the types of language learning strategy used by primary school pupils learning English in Malaysian context. Specifically the study aimed to find out the frequency of strategy use across gender. A questionnaire was administered to 155 primary school pupils. Data collected were analyzed. It was found to use more was that female pupils tend language learning strategies than male pupils. It found that gender did play a role in the selection of language learning strategies. In addition, the most and least favoured strategies were identified.
