| Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kejayaan pelaksanaan sistem maklumat dalam sektor pendidikan di Malaysia khususnya Sistem Pengurusan Maklumat Pendidikan (EMIS). Isu penjajaran (fit) antara pengguna, tugas dan teknologi yang digunakan, serta hubungan dengan kejayaan pelaksanaan sistem maklumat merupakan fokus kajian. Faktor yang mempunyai impak kepada kejayaan pelaksanaan sistem seperti ciri-ciri individu yang mengguna teknologi, tugas yang dilakukan, dan ciri-ciri teknologi yang digunakan merupakan elemen yang dikaji. Model Penjajaran Task-Teknologi (Task- Technology Fit) oleh Goodhue dan Thomson diadaptasi oleh penyelidik bagi menilai kejayaan pelaksanaan sistem maklumat tersebut. Selain daripada dokumen yang berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan EMIS, seramai 43 orang pegawai perkhidmatan pendidikan telah ditemuduga. Mereka terdiri daripada guru data, pengetua, guru kanan, penolong pegawai pendidikan (daerah dan negeri). Hasil kajian menunjukkan wujud penjajaran yang tinggi di antara pengguna, tugas dan teknologi dalam organisasi yang dikaji, dan seterusnya penilaian kepada kejayaan pelaksanaan EMIS adalah tinggi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan pengguna tidak atau kurang menggunakan sistem andaikata penjajaran di antara pengguna, tugas dan teknologi adalah rendah. Hasil kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi gambaran kepada pihak-pihak yang terlibat dengan pembangunan dan pelaksanaan sistem agar sistem maklumat yang dibangunkan akan digunapakai secara maksima dan seterusnya dapat membantu meningkatkan pencapaian organisasi.
