| The aim of this study is to promote the high - quality development of inclusive higher education in China and enhance the satisfaction of college students with disabilities. This research employed a mixed - methods approach to investigate the current satisfaction status of college students with disabilities in inclusive education in China and the factors influencing their satisfaction. Specifically, quantitative analysis was performed using SPSS on the data collected from 578 college students with disabilities via questionnaires, and qualitative analysis was conducted using Nvivo 11 on the interviews with 20 college students with disabilities. The results indicate that the satisfaction levels of college students with disabilities have not yet reached satisfactory benchmarks. Five main factors affect their satisfaction: institutional image and campus cultural life; teaching services and curricula; student support and management; family environment and support; as well as other policies and social support. Ultimately, the study proposed 19 improvement strategies, such as scientifically defining the positioning and development orientation of inclusive education in higher education institutions and expanding the range of majors available to college students with disabilities. The main contribution of this study is the first systematic exploration of the current satisfaction levels of college students with disabilities in China. It also formulates an action guide for improving inclusive education in Chinese higher education institutions, aiming to offer a reference framework for promoting the high - quality development of inclusive higher education in China. |
