Experience following the zikir practice by the Moslem community in the city of Yogyakarta has brought the idea to support the creation of musical work. Devotion of zikir sometimes unable to released the anxiety over the sin. The anxiety gives an answer that human are not ready to accept their own sins. Sins are considered as disgusting because always felt clean and pure. Tears are no longer guaranteed as a remission if we still believe with the sanctity of innocent. In fact, sin is not a symbol of lack or weakness but rather a perfection and strength. With the sins, human will be easier to know himself deeply. Ratib Rewind is an expression of a re-interpretation towards phenomenon of catharsis or purification of the soul through the practice of zikir. Based on Islamic aesthetic rooted in the Koran and Hadith, the writer can freely interpret about the aspect of repetition or duplication in the creation of art. Thus, the human voices in it have sparked the inspiration to create the musical composition. Lailahailallah sentence has created a series tones used to repetition. While inner voices of the human has inspired to explore the performance space and also with the box accessories used at the heads. Repetition of errors that continuing repeated gives the meaning about the human nature which is always not free from doing mistake and sin. Besides, the past mistakes have given the idea to create the sound of rewind by imitating from the tape recorder.
