Persediaan menghadapi banjir memainkan peranan penting dalam meminimumkan kerugian dalam kalangan para peniaga semasa menghadapi bencana banjir. Hal ini kerana langkah persediaan yang rapi akan membantu para peniaga supaya berwaspada dan berhati-hati apabila menerima amaran mengenai banjir yang akan berlaku. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara tahap persediaan dan kerugian yang dialami oleh peniaga di Bandar Kuala Krai ketika bencana banjir tahun 2014. Kaedah soal selidik telah digunakan dalam kajian ini untuk pengumpulan data primer. Seramai 175 orang responden telah dipilih dengan menggunakan kaedah pensampelan rawak mudah. Analisis yang telah digunakan adalah analisis taburan silang dan deskriptif. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa peniaga yang mempunyai tahap persediaan menghadapi bencana banjir yang tinggi menyebabkan peniaga mengalami kerugian yang rendah ketika bencana banjir tahun 2014. Oleh itu, langkah persediaan menghadapi bencana banjir adalah pendekatan yang terbaik yang perlu dipraktikkan oleh para peniaga di Bandar Kuala Krai bagi mengurangkan kemusnahan dan kerugian akibat banjir.
