Estim kendiri penting dalam kehidupan seseorang kerana estim kendiri memberikan pelbagai impak kepada tingkah laku, perkembangan sosial, emosi, motivasi, dan pencapaian individu. Masalah tahap estim kendiri rendah akan mempengaruhi keberkesanan proses kaunseling kerana klien tidak mengenali potensi diri, tidak sudi mengambil risiko, dan kurang mendedahkan perasaannya. Kajian tindakan ini dilaksanakan untuk menghuraikan sejauh mana penggunaan aktiviti PAT-IS yang merupakan gabungan dua aktiviti terapi tanah liat dapat meningkatkan tahap estim kendiri seorang klien kaunseling di sebuah sekolah kebangsaan Cina di daerah Kuantan, Pahang serta meningkatkan amalan saya dalam pelaksanaan aktiviti tersebut. Data telah dikumpul melalui kaedah temu bual separa berstruktur dan pemerhatian dengan senarai semak. Data tersebut masing-masing telah dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tema dan analisis pola. Data telah disemak dengan teknik triangulasi kaedah dan triangulasi data untuk meningkatkan kredibiliti data. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa aktiviti PAT-IS dapat meningkatkan tahap estim kendiri klien di samping mendalamkan pengetahuan saya dalam pelaksanaan aktiviti tersebut serta memudahkan penerokaan masalah klien. Aplikasi aktiviti PAT-IS dicadangkan agar diluaskan kepada konteks kaunseling kelompok serta demi peningkatan tahap kegembiraan dan kepuasan hidup kerana korelasi yang kuat wujud antara estim kendiri dengan tahap kegembiraan dan kepuasan hidup. |
