Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
The Critical and Creative Thinking Skill (KBKK) is one of the most important elements in Integrated Curriculum Secondary School (KBSM). Since students are required to master the creativity skil, this research was conducted to determine the relationship between students? level of creativity with physics level of achievement. Some 205 form four students in Hulu Selangor took part in this research as the respondens. A questionnaire that consists of three sections was used to collect data. Section A is about student?s background, section B is about students? creativity and section C is about student physics achievement. Section B is adopted Guilford and Torrance Creative Thinking Test. Its aim is to determine the four criterias of creativity namely originality, fluency, flexibility and elaboration. Data obtained were checked using to the Guilford and Torrance (1999) marking scheme. The raw data obtained, were processed to determine the frequency, percentage and mean. In addition, t-test were used to compare the level of creativity across gender and the level of physics achievement across gender. An ANOVA analysis was also carried out to determine the differences between level of physics achievements and the difference level of creativities. Finally, this research also correlates the relationship between the level of physics achievement and level of creativity using a correlation test. The results show that there are significant differences with between students? physics achievements and the difference level of creativities. The findings revealed that there was a positive relationship between this two level but the relationship is weak (r =.205). |
