| Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti faktor makroekonomi terhadap perbelanjaan penjagaan kesihatan di Malaysia. Kajian ini menggunakan data siri masa selama 19 tahun iaitu dari tahun 1997 hingga tahun 2015 bagi melihat trend perbelanjaan penjagaan kesihatan selepas berlaku krisis kewangan 1997. Kaedah Kuasa Dua Terkecil (KKDT) telah digunakan bagi membina model regrasi berbilang bagi tujuan pengukuran. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa wujud hubungan positif yang signifikan antara perbelanjaan penjagaan kesihatan per kapita (HCEppc), jangka hayat hidup (Le) dan populasi berumur 65 tahun keatas (Pop65) terhadap perbelanjaan penjagaan kesihatan (HCE) di Malaysia. Sebaliknya, perbelanjaan penjagaan kesihatan (HCE) dipengaruhi oleh KDNK per kapita (GDPppc) secara negatif. Kajian ini adalah penting untuk dijalankan kerana amalan penjagaan kesihatan membawa pengaruh besar kepada individu, institusi keluarga, masyarakat dan negara. Kemajuan dalam penjagaan kesihatan secara langsung dapat meningkatkan taraf kehidupan rakyat yang merupakan jentera kepada negara. |
