The readiness of visual art students towards using Adobe Photoshop software in learning Graphic design in secondary school is a survey research involving four schools in Kota Setar district. The main purpose of this research is to observe student’s readiness and in relation to demography and school infrastructure influences, in using the Adobe Photoshop software in graphic design learning in secondary schools. About 375 of form four art students were involved as research samples. Research data was obtained from questionnaires. Respondents admitted that using the software in making graphic design artworks has helped students in terms of increasing and enhancing their understanding, creativity and self motivation in graphic design learning. The result of the research shows that there is really a significant difference between the teaching and learning using Adobe Photoshop software and the teaching and learning in a conventional way. It has also shown that there is no readiness among the students towards the teaching and learning graphic computer using the software. The finding implication suggested that the authorities and policy makers to take actions towards implementation of Adobe Photoshop software in the Malaysia secondary schools in learning graphic design artworks.. |
