Abstract : |
Kajian ini dilakukan bagi menilai pengaruh panjang dan kecuraman cerun dalam mempengaruhi kadar hakisan tanih yang berlaku dalam kawasan Kampus Sultan Azlan Shah (KSAS), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) di Proton City. Terdapat dua plot yang dibangunkan dengan darjah kecuraman dan panjang yang berbeza. Hasil kajian menunjukkan plot kawalan (PK) mencatatkan kadar kehilangan tanih yang tertinggi iaitu 516.60 tan/hektar/tahun berbanding plot hakisan (PH) sebanyak 89.78 tan/hektar/tahun. Sepanjang 15 bulan cerapan di lapangan iaitu dari Januari 2015 hingga Mac 2016, PK mencatatkan jumlah sedimen sebanyak 2,953.55kg dan PH sebanyak 3676.63kg. Manakala isipadu air larian permukaan yang direkodkan di PK adalah sebanyak 14,523 liter dan sebanyak 18,389 liter bagi PH. Berdasarkan kepada piawaian yang ditetapkan oleh United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), PK dan PH berada pada klasifikasi kehilangan tanih yang sangat teruk dan berpotensi tinggi ke sangat tinggi untuk mengalami hakisan tanih. Berdasarkan kepada dapatan kajian ini, dicadangkan perlindungan dan pembangunan yang lestari perlu diterapkan bagi menghindarkan peningkatan kos dalam mengurus cerun dan kawalan hakisan tanih. |
