Abstract : |
Industri cendawan merupakan sebuah industri pertanian yang mesra terhadap alam sekitar. Industri ini mengoptimumkan penggunaan hasil sampingan pertanian lain sebagai substrat tanaman cendawan. Selepas tuaian hasil cendawan, sisa substrat cendawan pula berpotensi tinggi dalam pembangunan industri hiliran. Namun begitu, kaedah pengurusan sisa substrat cendawan yang tidak mesra alam telah mengundang kemerosotan kualiti alam sekitar tani. Oleh itu, kajian dilakukan untuk mengkaji kaedah pengurusan sisa substrat cendawan yang dipraktikkan dalam kalangan agropreneur serta menilai tahap pengetahuan agropreneur terhadap pengurusan sisa substrat cendawan secara mesra alam. Kaedah kuantitatif (survei) dan kualitatif (temubual) dilakukan melibatkan 40 orang agropreneur yang telah mengikuti Kursus Pakej Projek Agropreneur Muda Cendawan anjuran Jabatan Pertanian Malaysia. Hasil kajian mendapati kebanyakan agropreneur menggunakan kaedah bersifat tidak mesra alam dalam pengurusan sisa substrat cendawan iaitu melakukan pembakaran sisa substrat cendawan secara terbuka dan dilonggokkan atau dibuang ke tempat lain. Namun begitu, tahap pengetahuan agropreneur terhadap penjagaan kualiti alam sekitar dalam pengurusan sisa substrat cendawan adalah tinggi. Pemilihan penggunaan kaedah ini bergantung kepada keadaan cuaca, keadaan substrat (serangan penyakit dan serangga perosak) serta sikap agropreneur. Oleh itu, pendekatan pengurusan ladang secara mesra alam perlu diterapkan terhadap agropreneur bagi menjamin kelestarian persekitaran tani, peningkatan hasil tanaman, penjanaan pendapatan agropreneur serta kelangsungan industri cendawan secara menyeluruh. |
