Abstract :
Kemasukan jumlah kenderaan yang tinggi terutama pada waktu puncak atau pada musim perayaan di daerah Pasir Mas, Kelantan telah menyebabkan pihak kerajaan telah melaksanakan pembinaan projek Bypass Fasa 2 yang bersebelahan jambatan Pasir Mas. Hal ini kerana, kawasan tersebut sering kali berlaku kesesakan lalu lintas yang teruk apabila musim perayaan. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengenalpasti kegiatan perniagaan dan impak sosioekonomi yang berlaku terhadap penduduk sekitar di tapak projek tersebut. Kajian yang dijalankan ini melibatkan 100 orang responden penduduk tempatan di Pasir Mas Kelantan secara rawak mudah. Kajian menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif. Kaedah yang digunakan adalah dengan mengedarkan borang soal selidik kepada responden dan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa terdapat pelbagai aktiviti perniagaan yang dijalankan di sekitar tapak projek tersebut seperti kedai makan dan kedai runcit. Impak daripada segi sosial pula dapat mengurangkan kesesakan lalu lintas manakala dari segi ekonomi pula menjejaskan peniaga sekitar kerana terdapat banyak kedai dirobohkan bagi pembinaan Bypass Fasa 2. Cadangan bagi kajian ini agar lebih banyak Bypass dan lebuh raya dibina di Kelantan agar kesesakan lalu lintas dapat diatasi semasa waktu puncak dan pada musim perayaan.
