Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan mengkaji kesan penggunaan peta pemikiran terhadap kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi murid. Kajian ini menggunakan Modul i-Think Tahun 5 (MiT5) berasaskan peta pemikiran dan dijalankan ke atas murid orang asli tahun lima dalam topik Pecahan. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk kuasi eksperimen. Persampelan rawak mudah digunakan semasa menentukan kumpulan kawalan dan kumpulan eksperimen antara dua buah kelas dari sebuah sekolah orang asli di Perak. Subjek kajian terdiri daripada 24 murid kumpulan eksperimen dan 24 murid kumpulan kawalan. Dua instrumen kajian digunakan iaitu soal selidik dan ujian topikal pecahan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk menjelaskan tahap penerimaan murid terhadap penggunaan peta pemikiran dan kebolehlaksanaan MiT5 dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Analisis inferens pula untuk menganalisis data daripada ujian pra dan ujian pasca dengan menggunakan ujian-t. Dapatan kajian mendapati min pencapaian murid kumpulan eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada min pencapaian murid kumpulan kawalan. Terdapat perbezaan min yang signifikan pencapaian murid antara kumpulan eksperimen dengan kumpulan kawalan. Ini menunjukkan bahawa penggunaan peta pemikiran melalui MiT5 telah meningkatkan kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi murid dalam topik Pecahan. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan peta pemikiran berjaya merangsang murid berfikir secara aras tinggi. Implikasinya, pembelajaran berasaskan MiT5 mampu membantu murid memahami konsep, susunan jalan kerja dan seterusnya menyelesaikan soalan yang diberi.
