Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan menentukan kesan simulasi PhET (Physics Education
Technology) terhadap pencapaian pelajar fizik tingkatan empat bagi topik Hukum Newton. Kajian turut
menentukan persepsi pelajar terhadap simulasi PhET dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) fizik.
Kajian dengan reka bentuk kuasi- eksperimen ini melibatkan sampel kajian yang terdiri daripada 40
pelajar tingkatan empat. Sampel kajian dibahagikan dengan bilangan sama secara rawak kepada
kumpulan rawatan dan kawalan. Kumpulan rawatan diajar menggunakan simulasi PhET selama tiga minggu
manakala kumpulan kawalan diajar menggunakan kaedah konvensional. Kedua-dua kumpulan ditadbir
dengan ujian pra dan pasca. Soal selidik juga digunakan bagi memperoleh persepsi pelajar tentang
penggunaan simulasi PhET dalam PdP fizik. Data kajian dianalisis menggunakan ujian-t tak bersandar
dan statistik deskriptif. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan peningkatan pencapaian pelajar yang signifikan
[t(38) = 2.98, p < 0.05] bagi kumpulan rawatan (M=75.85, SP=5.16) berbanding kumpulan kawalan
(M=69.75, SP=7.53). Dapatan daripada soal selidik mengenai persepsi pelajar pula menunjukkan bahawa
mereka bersikap positif terhadap penggunaan simulasi PhET dalam PdP fizik iaitu yakin diri (M=4.11,
SP=0.94) dan minat terhadap PhET (M=4.25, SP=0.72). Kesimpulannya, simulasi PhET berupaya
meningkatkan pencapaian pelajar fizik berbanding kaedah konvensional. Implikasi kajian ini adalah
simulasi PhET sesuai digunakan sebagai
salah satu strategi berkesan untuk PdP fizik.
