Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
This research is a great research effort on the biography and written work by J.M Aziz bin Abdul Rahman, whose real name is Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman. He was active and prominent in writing and producing poems around 1950s and 1990s. This research is implemented by writing and highlighting the background of J.M Aziz and the frequency of his poems being published in the media in chronological order. The research analysis is focused mainly on the human values instilled in his poems obtained from a book titled “Derita Seorang Seniman” which was compiled by Wahba. Among the great human values obtained from his poems are based on the theme of patience, hard work, gratefulness, piousness, goodness, lovingness and responsibility. All those human values are integrated and combined with the concept of integrated thinking system which has four thinking module known as genuine thinking, physical thinking, logical thinking and lateral thinking. The reason why the elaborations on human values are combined with the elaboration on the four thinking modules is to give a clear, purposeful and meaningful message to the readers. The approach of four thinking modules, which is introduced by Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohd Yusof Hasan is an approach that discusses the construction of paradigm, thinking and Malay heritage based on the National Philosophy of Education. A genuine thinking is a thinking of goodness, piousness, religiousness and the existence of only one God. Physical thinking is a thinking of excellence, luxury, greatness and intelligence. Logical thinking is a thinking of truthfulness, surety and correctness. Lastly, lateral thinking is a thinking of creativity, beauty and perfect ness. In conclusion, the research is not only to highlight the activeness and the hard work of J.M Aziz, but also to observe the adaptation and the correlation between the human values and the four thinking module SPB4L |
