Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Tujuan kajian ini adalah mengenal pasti aplikasi kriteria pengurusan kemudahan bagi pengurusan ruang susun atur bagi kilang pengeluar blok dan mencadangkan penambahbaikan susun atur bagi mengoptimumkan penggunaan ruang kilang pengeluar blok di Ulu Behrang, Perak berdasarkan kriteria pengurusan kemudahan. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif pelbagai kajian kes dengan membuat perbandingan tiga kajian kes dan melibatkan seramai tiga orang pengeluar sistem kerja blok bagi sesi temu bual serta pemerhatian iaitu lawatan ke tapak kilang pengeluar kerja blok Sistem Binaan Berindustri (IBS). Dapatan kajian dibincangkan melalui perbincangan kumpulan fokus yang melibatkan dua orang ahli akademik, dua orang pembuat polisi dan 10 orang pengilang yang mempunyai pengalaman dalam bidang kerja blok. Hasil dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan terdapat dua kriteria pengurusan kemudahan bagi pengurusan ruang iaitu proses dan tempat sebagai faktor bagi menghasilkan sebuah reka bentuk kilang yang baik bagi membina sesebuah kilang blok. Faktor ini menekankan kepentingan dalam membina pelan susn atur kilang bagi pengeluar sistem kerja blok. Kesimpulan daripada kajian menunjukkan kriteria pengurusan kemudahan dalam kilang perlu diteliti sebagai nilai tambah bagi mengoptimumkan penggunaan ruang dalam kilang. Implikasi kajian menunjukkan bahawa kriteria pengurusan kemudahan merupakan asas bagi pembinaan susun atur kilang yang perlu difahami bagi membantu pengilang membina sebuah kilang yang baik daripada aspek susun atur dan pengurusan ruang kilang.
