Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan menilai keberkesanan strategi menggunakan Projektor Ortogon
(PO) terhadap pencapaian dalam topik Pelan dan Dongakan Matematik tingkatan 5. PO merupakan bahan
manipulatif berasaskan teknologi yang boleh disentuh, dipegang dan dirasa. PO dibina bagi menguji
keberkesanannya terhadap pencapaian pelajar bagi topik Pelan dan Dongakan dalam subjek Matematik
tingkatan 5. Kaedah kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk kuasi eksperimen ujian pra-ujian pasca digunakan
bagi menjawab soalan kajian. Seramai 60 orang pelajar dipilih daripada dua buah kelas tingkatan
lima di sebuah sekolah menengah di daerah Kuala Selangor, Selangor. Pelajar daripada kumpulan
rawatan menjalani proses intervensi menggunakan PO manakala pelajar daripada kumpulan kawalan telah
melalui proses pembelajaran dan pemudahcaraan (PdPc) secara tradisional. Dapatan kajian berdasarkan
analisis ujian-t membuktikan terdapat perbezaan secara signifikan dalam skor kumpulan rawatan (M =
86.40; SP = 5.667) skor kumpulan kawalan (M = 73.40; SP = 8.240); t(58) = 7.120, p < 0.05.
Kesimpulannya, pelajar yang menjalani PdPc menggunakan PO menunjukkan pencapaian yang lebih tinggi
dalam topik Pelan dan Dongakan berbanding pelajar kumpulan kawalan. Implikasi kajian adalah
penggunaan bahan manipulatif dalam PdPc membantu meningkatkan pemahaman sekaligus pencapaian
pelajar dalam topik Pelan
dan Dongakan Matematik tingkatan 5.
