Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti kesan intervensi gabungan self-talk, imageri dan video-modelling yang berbentuk instruksional dan motivasi terhadap prestasi anaerobik, respon  kadar nadi dan self-efficacy. Tiga puluh orang pelajar lelaki aktif semester 1 Fakulti Sains Sukan  dan Kejurulatihan, UPSI yang dipilih setelah berjaya menjalani ujian Penilaian Keupayaan Imageri  dalam Sukan versi Bahasa Melayu (SIAM-M) dengan mendapat skor di antara sederhana ke tinggi.  Peserta kajian dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan secara rawak iaitu kumpulan self-talk instruksional  (n=15) dan kumpulan self-talk motivasi (n=15). Kumpulan instruksional dan motivasi telah menjalani  intervensi selama empat minggu iaitu dua belas sesi dengan kekerapan tiga kali seminggu. Kesemua  peserta kajian menjalani ujian pra dan pasca dalam protokol ujian Wingate 30 saat bagi mengukur  peak power, total work, fatigue index, maximum heart rate, average heart rate dan self-efficacy.  Setelah tamat ujian pasca, kumpulan instruksional dan motivasi diberikan soalan kesahan sosial  untuk dijawab dalam tempoh seminggu. Data yang diperolehi dianalisis dengan menggunakan mixed-  design ANOVA. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan signifikan diantara kedua-dua kumpulan  dimana, kumpulan instruksional yang memberi kesan utama dalam peningkatan skor dalam peak power dan  total work di seluruh dua tempoh masa (ujian pra dan pasca). Bagi self-efficacy pula, kedua-dua  kumpulan  menunjukkan kesan utama dalam peningkatan skor di antara kumpulan. Namun, fatigue index,  maximum heart rate dan average heart rate tidak menunjukkan perbezaan signifikan. Oleh itu,  intervensi self-talk, imageri dan video-modelling berbentuk instruksional dan motivasi dapat  membantu seseorang individu mendapatkan maklumat dengan lebih tepat mengenai sesuatu kemahiran  dengan lebih spesifik dan meningkatkan tahap keyakinan diri semasa melakukan ujian Wingate 30 saat.  Keseluruhannya, kajian ini sangat bermanfaat bagi meningkatkan kapasiti anaerobik dan self-efficacy.
