Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidik kaedah pembelajaran kendiri yang diamalkan secara
tradisional oleh penenun Tubau suku kaum Iranun dalam mereka corak dan menghasilkan
Tubau dengan pelbagai motif dan corak. Kajian ini mengaplikasi pendekatan kajian kes
dengan menggunakan kaedah pemerhatian dan temubual. 10 peserta kajian terlibat dalam
mendapatkan maklumat kajian. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tiga aspek yang
signifikan dalam pembelajaran kendiri iaitu pemantauan kendiri, pengurusan kendiri
dan motivasi, yang merupakan satu amalan dan kaedah pembelajaran sepanjang hayat. Sebanyak 177
motif flora, 65 fauna, 55 geometri, tiga kosmos, 29 alam benda, dua makanan dan 25
kaligrafi telah berjaya dikenalpasti dan dikelompokkan secara sistematik berdasarkan
ciri-ciri semula jadi motif tersebut. Pembentukan identiti unik Tubau secara implisitnya
bergantung kepada kreativiti penenun dalam mengaplikasi prinsip-prinsip dan teknik-teknik
mereka corak Tubau seperti kombinasi motif dan warna, struktur tenunan, dua jenis corak ulangan
untuk kandangian papak dan buyunan, empat jenis rekacorak untuk kandangian lawas dan
motif komati. Kajian ini merupakan satu usaha untuk memulihara dan mengekalkan
salah satu warisan suku kaum Iranun daripada kepupusan akibat asimilasi dan akulturasi
berbagai budaya, di samping pengaruh arus
kemodenan dan pembangunan negara.
