Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara stres, motivasi, konsep
kendiri dengan pencapaian akademik. Kajian ini turut mengukur tahap stres, motivasi, konsep
kendiri dan pencapaian akademik. Perbezaan min stres, motivasi, konsep kendiri dan
pencapaian akademik berdasarkan jantina dan jurusan turut diukur. Sumbangan stres,
motivasi dan konsep kendiri terhadap pencapaian akademik juga dikaji. Pendekatan kuantitatif
dengan rekabentuk tinjauan digunakan dalam kajian ini. Pemilihan subjek kajian dijalankan
secara persampelan rawak berkelompok melibatkan 918 orang pelajar Kolej Matrikulasi di
lima buah Kolej Matrikulasi seluruh Malaysia. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur stres
adalah Inventori Stres Berdasarkan CTRT (IS-CTRT), Work Preference Inventory (WPI)
untuk mengukur motivasi, konsep kendiri diukur menggunakan Tennessee Self Concept Scale
(TSCS) dan pencapaian akademik diukur berdasarkan keputusan peperiksaan semester 1. Data
kajian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa
terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara stres r (916) = -0.09, p < 0.05, motivasi r (916) = 0.11,
p < 0.05 dan konsep kendiri r (916) = 0.07, p < 0.05 dengan pencapaian akademik. Pelajar mempunyai
tahap stres yang rendah (M = 1.18, SP =.39), konsep kendiri sederhana (M = 2.00, SP =
.00), motivasi (M =2.87, SP
=.33) dan pencapaian akademik yang tinggi (M = 2.81, SP =.39). Dapatan kajian juga mendapati
bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan signifikan bagi stres antara jantina dan jurusan.
Manakala bagi motivasi terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara jantina t(916) = (-2.64,
