Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan mengkaji keberkesanan pengajaran menggunakan kaedah Bar
Bulat terhadap pencapaian murid Tahun Tiga dalam Pendaraban Dua Nombor. Kajian
ini menggunakan reka bentuk kuasi eksperimen ujian pra-pasca kumpulan tidak
setara. Sejumlah 50 orang murid di sebuah sekolah rendah di kawasan negeri Perak
dipilih secara rawak untuk kajian ini. Seramai 25 orang murid daripada kumpulan
rawatan menjalani proses intervensi menggunakan kaedah Bar Bulat manakala 25
orang murid daripada kumpulan kawalan melalui proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran
menggunakan kaedah konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam kajian ini
adalah satu set ujian pra dan pasca. Data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan
inferensi. Berdasarkan analisis ujian-t sampel tidak bersandar, min markah ujian
pencapaian pasca (min = 35.40, sp = 2.082) murid kumpulan rawatan adalah berbeza
dengan min markah ujian pencapaian pasca (min = 29.60, sp = 2.217) murid
kumpulan kawalan secara signifikan [t(48) = 9.535, p < 0.05]. Kesimpulannya, murid
yang menggunakan kaedah Bar Bulat menunjukkan pencapaian yang lebih baik
terhadap Pendaraban Dua Nombor berbanding murid daripada kumpulan kawalan.
Implikasi kajian ini menunjukkan pengajaran matematik perlu menitik beratkan
kefahaman konsep nilai tempat dalam algoritma pendaraban dua nombor untuk
meningkatkan pencapaian murid. |
