Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti hubungan antara kemahiran sosio-emosi
dengan prestasi akademik murid sekolah rendah. Lima kemahiran sosio-emosi yang dicadangkan oleh
Child Trends iaitu kawalan diri, persisten, orientasi masteri, efikasi kendiri akademik dan
kompetensi sosial dijadikan pemboleh ubah bebas dalam kajian ini manakala prestasi akademik
adalah pemboleh ubah bersandar. Kajian ini dijalankan menggunakan pendekatan
kuantitatif melalui kaedah tinjauan. 350 orang murid tahun 5 dipilih secara rawak dari
tujuh buah sekolah rendah di daerah Kinta Selatan, Perak. Pengumpulan data menggunakan
borang soal selidik dengan empat skala Likert. Dapatan ujian-t menunjukkan terdapat
perbezaan yang signifikan kemahiran sosio-emosi murid berdasarkan jantina (t=-3.747, p |
