Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
This review examines the elements of film criticism through Theory of Textualism. The theory has been introduced by the Malaysian writer, Abdul Rahman Napiah, known as Mana Sikana. The theory is based on four principles. They are forward policy, conflict policy, strong policy and personal policy. These four principles constitute the elements of a standard film critical article. This is the soundtrack of the Malaysian writer K. Balamurugan's critical book, The Tree of Life, to explore how the Theory of Textualism help to write critical essays. |
