Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh kepimpinan transformasional guru besar terhadap pembangunan profesional guru prasekolah kebangsaan di negeri Perak. Kajian ini merupakan satu kajian kuantitatif yang menggunakan kaedah tinjauan deskriptif. Sampel kajian yag dipilih adalah seramai 260 orang guru prasekolah kebangsaan dari 808 orang guru prasekolah dari seluruh negeri Perak. Kaedah pengumpulan data bagi kajian ini adalah dengan menggunakan soal selidik. Instrumen kajian ini telah diadaptasi daripada Leadership Practice Inventory (LPI) dan Model Readiness, Planning, Training, Implementation and Maintenance (RPTIM). Hasil dapatan menunjukkan tahap kepimpinan transformansional guru besar (min = 3.96) dan tahap pembangunan profesional guru prasekolah (min = 4.00) berada di tahap yang tinggi. Analisis Anova sehala menunjukkan tidak terdapat kesan utama antara faktor tahap pendidikan guru: F (3,256) = .331, p = .80) dan faktor tempoh perkhidmatan guru: F (3,356) = .1.96, p = .12) terhadap tahap pembangunan profesional guru prasekolah. Analisis Korelasi Pearson menunjukkan hubungan signifikan yang positif antara kedua-dua pemboleh ubah (r=.68, p < .001). Keputusan analisis regresi pelbagai membuktikan kepimpinan transformasional menyumbang sebanyak 47% kepada pembangunan profesional guru prasekolah. Manakala gabungan dimensi membolehkan orang lain bertindak dan mencabar proses / kelaziman [F (2, 257) = 110.370, p < .05] dengan nilai (R2 = .46) merupakan pengaruh utama terhadap pembangunan profesional guru prasekolah. Kesimpulannya, kepimpinan transformasional guru besar terbukti dapat mempengaruhi pembangunan profesional guru prasekolah. Implikasi kajian ini menunjukkan kepimpinan transformasional merupakan gaya kepimpinan yang sangat sesuai untuk dipraktikkan oleh semua pemimpin sekolah bagi memastikan kualiti pembangunan profesional guru dapat dipertingkatkan.
