Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan bagi mengenal pasti item, konstruk literasi karbon serta membina
model literasi karbon bagi pelajar peringkat sekolah menengah rendah di Wilayah
Persekutuan Putrajaya. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk tinjauan telah digunakan
dalam kajian ini. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 463 orang pelajar Tingkatan 2
dengan menggunakan teknik pensampelan rawak berkelompok. Instrumen soal selidik dibina
melalui proses Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) untuk mendapatkan pengelompokan item dan
konstruk kajian, manakala Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) digunakan bagi menguji
kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan konstruk. Seterusnya, model pembentukan literasi
karbon dibina dengan menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Dapatan kajian EFA dan
CFA berjaya menerbitkan empat konstruk literasi karbon iaitu pengetahuan jejak karbon,
nilai celik karbon, sikap rendah karbon dan amalan rendah karbon. Selain itu, model literasi
karbon yang terjana melalui proses CFA telah mencapai tahap kesepadanan yang baik dengan
memenuhi syarat kesahan, kebolehpercayaan dan fit indices yang telah ditetapkan dengan nilai
CMIN= 4426.67, DF=306, CMIN/DF=3.389, p=0.0, GFI=0.747, CFI= 0.729, TLI=0.714 dan
RMSEA=0.072. Dapatan kajian ini juga membuktikan bahawa pengetahuan jejak karbon, nilai
celik karbon, sikap rendah karbon memberi pengaruh kepada amalan rendah karbon pelajar melalui
perhubungan antara konstruk dalam model SEM literasi karbon. Kesimpulannya, konstruk serta
model literasi karbon yang terhasil telah memenuhi syarat yang ditetapkan dalam proses
EFA, CFA dan SEM. Implikasi kajian memperlihatkan bahawa model literasi karbon yang terjana
dapat digunakan sebagai panduan dalam membentuk generasi muda yang mengamalkan kehidupan
rendah karbon melalui komponen pengetahuan,
