Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengenal  pasti  idea  altematif  mu.rid  dan  menstruktur semula  idea altematif dengan menggunakan aktiviti dan perbincangan yang berkaitan dengan   menggunakan    konsep  kartun.  Reka  bentuk  kaedah-bercampur  digunakan dalam  kajian  ini.  Pensampelan   bertujuan  digunakan  dengan  melibatkan  45  orang mu.rid tahun 5 di sebuah Sekolah Rendah  Jenis  Kebangsaan  (Tamil) di Daerah Hulu Selangor. Tiga jenis instrumen telah digunakan dalam kajian ini,  iaitu satu siri enam konsep  kartun,  ujian  pencapaian  pra  dan  pasca  bertajuk  "Cahaya"  dan   protokol temubual.   Data   dianalisis   dengan   menggunakan   analisis   deskritif   dan    inferens. Dapatan  kajian  menunjukkan  bahawa  terdapat  enam  kategori  idea  altematif  dalam  tajuk  (i)   Jawapan  Betul  dan  Justifikasi  Betul;  (ii)  Jawapan  Betul  dan  Justifikasi  separa  betul;  (iii)  Jawapan  Betul  dan  Justifikasi   Salah;  (iv)  Jawapan  Salah  dan  Justifikasi  Betul;  (v)  Jawapan  Salah  dan  Justifikasi  Separa  betul;  dan  (vi)  Jawapan  Salah  dan  Justifikasi  Salah.  Dapatan  analisis  deskriptif  juga  menunjukkan   lebih banyak  jawapan salah dan separa  betul serta jutifikasi  murid dapat distruktur semula. Analisis ujian-t   menunjukkan  pencapaian  mu.rid dalam ujian pasca subtajuk  1, 2 dan 3  adalah  lebih  tinggi  dan   signifikan  secara  statistik  berbanding  dengan  ujian  pra bertajuk  1, 2 dan 3 yang   bersepadanan  (ti=-3.833,  t2=-4.582  dan t)=-5.480  kesemua dengan   p
