Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara lndeks Jisim Tubuh (IJT), pengambilan kalori dan aktiviti fizikal dalam kalangan pelajar Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). Kajian ini menggunakan borang soal selidik, International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) dan diari pemakanan yang melibatkan seramai 100 orang peserta kajian yang terdiri daripada pelajar lelaki dan perempuan. Data diperolehi dan dianalisis menggunakan ujian-t tidak bersandar dan ujian korelasi Pearson. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan bahawa terdapat perbezaan signifikan antara pelajar lelaki dan perempuan untuk pengambilan kalori dengan nilai p = (0.002) manakala untuk tahap aktiviti fizikal menunjukkan tiada perbezaan signifikan antara kedua-dua jantina iaitu nilai p = (0.307) serta untuk tahap IJT juga tidak signifikan dengan nilai p = (0.818). Selain itu, terdapat hubungan positif yang lemah dan tidak signifikan antara IJT dan pengambilan kalori dengan nilai (r = 0.10, p= 0.30). Seterusnya, untuk hubungan IJT dan tahap aktiviti fizikal menunjukkan hubungan negatif dan tidak signifikan dengan nilai (r = -0.17, p= 0.08). Bagi pengambilan kalori dan tahap aktiviti fizikal tidak menunjukkan sebarang hubungan dan tidak signifikan dengan nilai (r = 0.05, p= 0.58). Berdasarkan hasil dapatan kajian yang diperolehi menunjukkan walaupun pengambilan kalori dan tahap aktiviti fizikal tidak menunju kkan sebarang hubungan tetapi terdapat korelasi antara IJT dengan tahap aktiviti fizikal yang dilakukan oleh kedua-dua jantina.
