Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kebolehpasaran orang kurang upaya sentiasa dipersoalkan di dalam dan di luar negara. Namun,   usaha   yang   dijalankan   masih    tidak   dapat   menyelesaikan   masalah  kebolehpasaran mereka. Tambahan lagi, kurang kajian empirikal yang boleh dirujuk bagi meneliti  permasalahan ini. Oleh itu, kajian ini dijalankan untuk membangunkan model   kemahiran  generik    ke   arah   mempertingkatkan  kebolehpasaran  graduan Pendidikan  dan  Latihan  Teknikal   Vokasional  (PLTV)   bermasalah  pendengaran. Pemboleh  ubah  bebas  yang  dikaji  ialah  kemahiran   generik  dan  pemboleh  ubah bersandar ialah  kebolehpasaran. Pemboleh ubah penilaian kendiri dan   pengalaman diskriminasi  pula  merupakan pemboleh  ubah  moderator  dalam  hubungan  antara  kemahiran generik dan kebolehpasaran. Kajian eksplorasi ini berbentuk tinjauan untuk menentukan   kemahiran  generik,  penilaian  kendiri,  pengalaman  diskriminasi  dan kebolehpasaran graduan PLTV  bermasalah pendengaran. Kajian ini juga menentukan perbezaan pemboleh  ubah-pemboleh  ubah  ini   berdasarkan persepsi  majikan  dan graduan. Kajian ini melibatkan 167 graduan PLTV bermasalah  pendengaran yang telah tamat pengajian dari politeknik dan kolej komuniti sijil  kemahiran khas  antara tahun 2013 hingga 2017 di Malaysia serta 104 majikan yang merekrut mereka. Instrumen yang  digunakan dalam kajian ini merupakan set soal selidik yang diadaptasi daripada penyelidik  lepas,   lalu  diuji  kesahan  melalui  teknik  Delphi  ubahsuai.  Kemudian instrumen diterjemahkan dalam  bentuk bahasa isyarat dan dimasukkan dalam google form. Kajian rintis juga dijalankan bagi  memperoleh kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan kajian ini. Semua data yang diperoleh telah dianalisis  dengan menggunakan perisian SPSS  dan  PLS-SEM.  Hasil  kajian  mendapati hubungan positif  antara   kemahiran generik  dan  kebolehpasaran menjadi  lebih  kuat  apabila  penilaian  kendiri  tinggi  manakala moderator pengalaman diskriminasi tidak mengubah kekuatan hubungan ini. Kajian ini memberi  implikasi kepada pembangunan satu model kemahiran generik ke arah mempertingkatkan kebolehpasaran graduan PLTV bermasalah pendengaran.
