Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian  ini  bertujuan  mengenalpasti  hubungan  di  antara  gaya  kepemimpinan  situasi  guru besar,  komitmen  organisasi  dan  keberkesanan  sekolah  di  Bintulu,  Sarawak.  Responden terdiri   daripada  guru-guru  yang  berkhidmat  di  Sekolah  Kebangsaan  dan  Sekolah  Jenis Kebangsaan   Cina  Bintulu,  Sarawak.    Borang  soalselidik  digunakan  sebagai  instrumen pengumpulan data.     Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensi  seperti  korelasi    Pearson,  ANOVA  dan  Regresi  Pelbagai.     Dapatan  kajian menunjukkan   bahawa   guru   besar    mengamalkan   gaya   kepemimpinan   situasi   dalam mengurus  dengan  mengamalkan  gaya  membimbing   (  34.15%  ),  diikuti  dengan  gaya menyokong  (  33.72%  ),    mengarah  (  20.55%  )  dan   mendelegasi  (  11.58%  ).    Dapatan kajian  juga  menunjukkan  wujud  pengaruh  yang  signifikan   antara  gaya  kepemimpinan situasi  guru  besar  dan  komitmen  organisasi  dengan  nilai  korelasi   yang  positif  iaitu  r  = 0.336  dan  nilai  koefisien  determinasi  r²=  0.113.    Kesimpulannya  guru  besar  sekolah  berupaya  untuk  mempelbagaikan  gaya  kepemimpinan  mereka  dalam  konteks  kajian  ini. Kemahiran   menganalisis  perlu  dikuasai  oleh  guru  besar  supaya  mengenali  setiap  potensi serta  kebolehan guru-gurunya.    Implikasi kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi sumbangan ilmu  yang   bermakna  kepada  dasar  Kementerian  Pendidikan  Malaysia,  program  latihan serta kursus yang disediakan untuk guru besar.
