Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keberkesanan program intervensi menggunakan ‘badge button’ bagi meningkatkan minat belajar murid dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Cina. Reka bentuk kajian kuasi eksperimen digunakan dalam kajian ini bagi melihat keberkesanan program dalam perbandingan antara kumpulan rawatan dan kumpulan kawalan. Reka bentuk pembalikan ABA (A-baseline, B-treatment, A-return to baseline) digunakan untuk memungut data bagi tingkat murid yang menunjukkan minat belajar semasa proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan borang pemerhatian. Reka bentuk pembalikan ABA adalah analisis perubahan minat belajar murid ke atas program ‘Badge Button’ yang bermula dari pungutan data sebelum intervensi (A), semasa intervensi (B) dan selepas intevensi dihentikan (A). Seramai 84 orang kanak-kanak yang berumur 10 tahun daripada sebuah sekolah jenis kebangsaan cina yang terletak di daerah Batang Padang, Perak telah dipilih sebagai sampel dan dipecahkan kepada dua kumpulan iaitu 42 orang setiap kumpulan. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan skor min ujian pra kumpulan kawalan ialah 53.512 manakala skor min pasca pula ialah 60.119. Peningkatan skor min bagi kumpulan kawalan ialah sebanyak 6.607. Manakala, skor min ujian pra bagi kumpulan rawatan ialah 56.905 dan skor min ujian pasca ialah 71.845 iaitu peningkatan skor min kumpulan rawatan adalah 14.941. Analisis keputusan soal selidik menunjukkan sambutan positif dan memaparkan keberkesanan penggunaan ‘badge button’ dalam pengajaran Bahasa Cina berbanding dengan pengajaran tradisional yang sering dijalankan oleh guru di dalam bilik darjah. Secara kesimpulannya, penggunaan ‘bagde button’ dalam pengajaran Bahasa Cina ini didapati berkesan dalam meningkatkan minat belajar murid berbanding dengan teknik konvensional.
