Kajian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kesan arahan tumpuan terhadap aktiviti otot dan prestasi senaman squat. Seramai 36 orang pelajar perempuan universiti awam telah menyertai kajian ini dan dibahagikan secara rawak kepada tiga kumpulan, iaitu 12 orang bagi setiap kumpulan. Tiga kumpulan tersebut adalah arahan tumpuan dalaman (TD), tumpuan luaran (TL) dan kawalan. Arahan yang diberikan kepada kumpulan TL adalah membayangkan seperti duduk di atas kerusi manakala kumpulan TD diarah untuk menumpukan kepada pergerakan dan kedudukan anggota tubuh badan. Elektromiografi (EMG) digunakan untuk mengukur aktiviti otot semasa melakukan senaman squat manakala tapisan pergerakan Movement Competency Screen (MCS) pula digunakan sebagai kriteria untuk mengukur prestasi perlakuan teknik squat yang betul. Tempoh intervensi dijalankan selama enam minggu. ANOVA 3 kumpulan (arahan TD, arahan TL, kawalan) x 3 jenis otot (vastus lateralis, bicep femoris, gluteus maximus) digunakan untuk menganalisis perbezaan bacaan EMG pada otot yang terlibat mengikut kumpulan pada ujian pasca dan pengekalan. Ujian awal menunjukkan tiada perbezaan signifikan bagi ketiga-tiga kumpulan semasa ujian pra. Dapatan utama kajian menunjukkan bahawa TL memberi kesan yang signifikan dan lebih baik daripada TD dan kawalan terhadap ketiga-tiga aktiviti otot. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan terdapat interaksi antara kumpulan dengan otot dalam ujian pengekalan, F(4,66)=10.439,p |
