| Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris | 
| Tujuan  kajian  ini  adalah  untuk  menentukan  kesan  adaptasi  Model  Polya  dalam
pembelajaran   algoritma   pengaturcaraan   terhadap   pencapaian   pelajar   di   Kolej 
Matrikulasi.   Berdasarkan   tinjauan   literatur,   penguasaan   kemahiran   penyelesaian masalah 
yang lemah dalam pengaturcaraan menyebabkan pelajar sukar mendapatkan keputusan  yang  baik  dalam  
subjek  Sains  Komputer.  Oleh  itu,  satu  kajian  kuasi eksperimen  dengan  ujian  pra  dan  
ujian  pasca  telah  dilaksanakan  untuk  menilai pencapaian pelajar. Sampel kajian terdiri 
daripada 30 orang pelajar daripada jurusan Sains Modul Dua, Program Satu Tahun di salah sebuah 
Kolej Matrikulasi menggunakan kaedah persampelan rawak. Intervensi dilaksanakan selama tujuh minggu 
terhadap dua kumpulan  pelajar  iaitu  kumpulan  kawalan  dan  kumpulan  rawatan  untuk  menjawab 
soalan ujian pra, dan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran (pdp) pembinaan algoritma pengaturcaran  
dijalankan.  Bagi  kumpulan  kawalan,  pensyarah  menggunakan  kaedah tradisional   dalam   proses  
 pdp   manakala   bagi   kumpulan   rawatan,    pensyarah menggunakan adaptasi Model Polya. 
Seterusnya soalan ujian pasca diberikan selepas proses pdp berlangsung.   Instrumen kajian yang 
digunakan adalah ujian pra dan ujian pasca  yang  terdiri  daripada  enam  soalan  subjektif  dan  
data  dianalisis  menggunakan Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) versi 22. Statistik 
deskriptif iaitu min, peratus, kekerapan, sisihan piawai serta statistik inferens iaitu ujian t 
telah digunakan untuk menganalisis data kuantitatif. Keputusan ujian t menunjukkan terdapat 
perbezaan min  yang  signifikan  antara  pencapaian  ujian  pasca  kumpulan  rawatan  berbanding 
pencapaian kumpulan kawalan (t (28) = -6.39, p = 0.00, p < 0.05). Ini menunjukkan kaedah  adaptasi  
Model  Polya  dalam  pembelajaran  algoritma  pengaturcaraan  adalah berkesan   dalam   
meningkatkan   prestasi   pencapaian   pelajar.   Implikasi   kajian   ini menunjukkan  bahawa  
adaptasi  Model  Polya  sebagai  satu  alternatif  dalam  proses pembelajaran   dan   pengajaran   
algoritma   khususnya   dalam   penyelesaian   masalah pengaturcaraan. |
