Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh efikasi kendiri kaunseling dan strategi
daya tindak terhadap identiti profesional kaunselor di sekolah dalam daerah negeri Kedah.
Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk kajian tinjauan.
Pemilihan subjek kajian dijalankan secara persampelan rawak berkelompok yang melibatkan 201
orang kaunselor di sekolah di daerah sekitar negeri Kedah. Instrumen yang digunakan
dalam kajian ini ialah soal selidik Efikasi Kendiri Kaunseling oleh Bodernhorn &
Skaggs, Strategi Daya Tindak oleh Cano Garcia et al. dan Profesional Identity and Values
Scale-Revised (PIVSR) Healey et. al. Data dianalisis menggunakan Ujian-t, Korelasi Pearson
dan Regrasi Berganda. Hasil Ujian- t menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan bagi efikasi kendiri
kaunseling, strategi daya tindak dan identiti profesional berdasarkan jantina. Analisis
Korelasi Pearson pula menunjukkan efikasi kendiri kaunseling mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan
dengan identiti professional dalam kalangan kaunselor di sekolah. Walau bagaimanapun,
didapati strategi daya tindak tidak mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan identiti
professional dalam kalangan kaunselor di sekolah. Analisis juga telah menunjukkan
bahawa efikasi kendiri kaunseling mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan strategi daya tindak
dalam kalangan kaunselor di sekolah. Analisis regrasi berganda pula menunjukkan peramal
utama dan tertinggi bagi identiti profesional kaunselor ialah efikasi kendiri kaunseling
(β=0.467) dan sumbangannya sebanyak 21.8%. Kesimpulannya, kaunselor yang mempunyai efikasi
kendiri kaunseling yang tinggi akan mempengaruhi
identiti profesional kaunselor manakala strategi daya tindak pula tidak mempengaruhi identiti
profesional kaunselor. Implikasi kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa pentingnya efikasi kendiri
kaunseling dalam kalangan kaunselor dipertingkatkan dan ianya boleh dilaksanakan
melalui Latihan Dalam Perkhidmatan (LDP) yang boleh dianjurkan oleh pihak Kementerian
Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) secara berterusan. Ianya boleh dilaksanakan dalam bentuk kursus,
bengkel dan seminar yang berfokuskan kepada kemahiran dalam kaunseling agar tugas-tugas di
dalam perkhidmatan bimbingan dan kaunseling khususnya dapat dilaksanakan dengan lebih
berkesan.
