Fokus utama kajian adalah membangunkan model pengajaran dan pembelajaran menggunakan kerangka TPACK (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) dan keberkesanan e-pembelajaran dalam subjek Kimia Matrikulasi. Ini merupakan model pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang boleh digunakan oleh pensyarah-pensyarah dalam mengintegrasikan kemahiran teknologi, kemahiran pedagogi dan kemahiran kandungan (content) untuk mengajar subjek Kimia pada peringkat pra universiti atau matrikulasi. Selain itu juga, model TPACK digunakan untuk meramalkan keberkesanan e-pembelajaran subjek Kimia matrikulasi yang diamalkan semasa pandemik covid-19.
Kajian Tinjauan telah dijalankan secara rawak ke atas 199 responden daripada 460 pensyarah subjek kimia matrikulasi seluruh negara. Daripada dapatan yang diperolehi, tahap amalan pengajaran dan pembelajaran pensyarah kimia matrikulasi dan kompentensi pensyarah terhadap aplikasi e-pembelajaran adalah tinggi. Selain itu, di akhir kajian, pengkaji dapat membangunkan satu model pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang baru yang berasaskan kepada Model TPACK dengan keberkesanan e-pembelajaran bagi subjek kimia matrikulasi yang memenuhi indeks kesepadanan dengan nilai R2 = 0.66 daripada variansnya.
Diharapkan model ini akan dijadikan asas dalam pembentukan model baru era pasca covid-19 yang akan menjadi tunjang dalam pelaksanaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran khususnya dalam subjek Kimia diperingkat matrikulasi.
