Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti keupayaan kanak-kanak dalam memahami asas lakaran semasa  menjalani aktiviti artistik. Penyelidik juga menganalisis ekspresi diri kanak-kanak melalui  penghasilan imej dalam lakaran. Seterusnya, adalah untuk menilai  kefahaman  guru  tentang   tatacara  kanak-kanak  menginterpretasikan  asas lakaran terhadap kreativiti seni visual.  Pendekatan kaedah kualitatif dan reka bentuk kajian kes telah digunakan dalam melaksanakan kajian  ini. Instrumen-instrumen yang digunakan  bagi  mendapatkan  data  kajian  iaitu  temu  bual  separa   berstruktur  dan dokumen  lakaran  kanak-kanak.  Kajian  ini  melibatkan  lapan  orang  guru   sebagai sampel kajian dalam protokol temu bual, dan 25 orang kanak-kanak prasekolah dalam  menghasilkan tiga tema lakaran. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan, keupayaan minat kanak-kanak dalam  mengikuti aktiviti seni dan kreativiti perlu dipupuk serta mendapat bimbingan  daripada  guru.   Selain  daripada  itu,  kefahaman  asas  lakaran  juga  perlu dikuasai  oleh  guru  agar  dapat   disampaikan  kepada  kanak-kanak  dengan  lebih berkesan.  Ini  adalah  kerana,  melalui  minat   yang  dipupuk  dapat  menghasilkan kefahaman dalam diri kanak-kanak. Malahan juga, melalui  kefahaman tentang asas lakaran yang dimiliki oleh kanak-kanak dapat memperkembangkan imaginasi,  kreativiti dan  kognitif  diri.  Ini  dapat  dikesan  melalui  kepelbagaian  imej  dalam  lakaran   yang dihasilkan oleh kanak-kanak. Hasil dapatan turut dapat mengesan ekspresi emosi diri yang   digambarkan  melalui  lakaran.  Kesimpulannya,  melalui  asas  lakaran  yang diaplikasi  dalam   lakaran  bukan  sahaja  dapat  menghasilkan  imej,  malah  dapat menunjukkan perkembangan  kreativiti, imaginasi, kogintif dan emosi dalam diri kanak- kanak. Implikasi kajian ini dapat  mengenal pasti kelemahan dan kelebihan bimbingan guru  terhadap  kanak-kanak.  Selain  daripada   itu,  kajian  ini  dapat  memberikan  nilai tambah   terhadap   kaedah   pengajaran   dan    bimbingan   guru.   Bimbingan   khusus terhadap asas yang perlu diterapkan dalam pengajaran dan pemudah caraan (PdPc) bagi merangkumi tajuk unsur seni.
