Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
The objective of the research work is to propose a quantum linguistic based discourse analysis of Bharathiar Tamil poems. The syntactical and semantic strategies of the poet through his words and sentences and discourse are analysed using quantum science and quantum information approach. The usage of simple poetic terms with proper and suitable musical components encapsulated as vibrant linguistic entities are identified in his poems. These linguistic poetic entities are treated as subatomic particles and their inter-relationships in the semantic space are discussed. The need of such a quantum approach is established with entanglements of linguistic particles in terms of words and phrases that can be seen in most of his poems through his specific living style and simple sense. The quantum physics with vector mathematics and calculus are applied to the Tamil poems by the world poet, Bharathiar. It is identified that quantum principles like spin, processing and linguistic quantum superposition of the poems can also be analysed in different perspectives of both readers and the poet
