Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
This research is concerning the analyses study of Conjunction. The research covered the element of conjunction such as type, wrongly used conjunction and also suggestion on how to teach the conjunction correctly. The research is done by comparing the used of conjunction taken from two favorite which are Majalah Dewan Bahasa February 2006 edition and Majalah Dewan Sastera February 2006 edition. Both magazines are hot in the market and important reference to students and teachers as a main source of information regarding conjunction. The aim of the study is to know the varieties of conjunction and how it is utilised in sentences. The data given will highlight the common mistake done when using conjunction in sentences. Furthermore, precious suggestions are given on the correct usage of conjunction and the differences between conjunction and sentence connectors. This study also gives the opportunity to compare the views of some of the language expertise on conjunction and reasons why the difference occurs. A few ideas are suggested to those concern on how to improve the dignity of Bahasa Melayu. Suggested lesson plan is given as a helpful preparatory for teachers interested to teach the aspect of conjunction.
