Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan menjelaskan potensi busking sebagai aktiviti pengayaan bagi mengembangkan kemahiran persembahan muzik berdasarkan lapan komponen pendekatan kontekstual. Terdapat dua objektif kajian iaitu mengenal pasti kemahiran persembahan muzik yang dapat diperkembangkan melalui aktiviti busking dari aspek muzikal dan bukan muzikal seterusnya menjelaskan potensi busking sebagai aktiviti pengayaan bagi mengembangkan kemahiran persembahan muzik berdasarkan lapan komponen pendekatan kontekstual. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk tujuan kajian ini dengan melibatkan empat kaedah pengumpulan data iaitu temu bual pra dan pasca-busking, temu bual kumpulan fokus, pemerhatian dan nota lapangan. Kajian ini melibatkan 4 orang pelajar diploma Kursus Aplikasi Muzik yang bertindak sebagai subjek serta informan dan 4 orang informan yang merupakan tenaga pengajar Kursus Aplikasi Muzik. Analisis terhadap data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahawa aktiviti busking dapat memperkembang pelbagai kemahiran persembahan merangkumi aspek muzikal dan bukan muzikal. Antara aspek muzikal yang dapat diperkembang ialah kemahiran bermain, penguasaan kualiti ton, penguasaan genre lagu, penguasaan stail lagu, ekspresi, kreativiti, adaptasi dan interpretasi. Manakala aspek bukan muzikal yang dapat diperkembang ialah pengurusan persembahan, komunikasi, persona diri, kerjasama dan kawalan mental. Analisis terhadap data juga mendapati bahawa aktiviti busking berpotensi dijadikan sebagai aktiviti pengayaan kerana memenuhi objektif program pengayaan iaitu dapat mengasah bakat pelajar, dapat memupuk minat belajar, dapat memperkembang kemahiran dan meningkatkan pencapaian.
