Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Imej tubuh dan tari ialah dua perkara yang sering berkait rapat dalam lapangan seni
persembahan. Sehingga ke saat ini, imej tubuh masih menjadi salah satu fenomena
yang sering dibincangkan oleh penggiat tari khususnya di Kuala Lumpur. Kini
masyarakat mula melihat seakan wujud imej tubuh tertentu yang perlu dipersembahkan
oleh seseorang individu yang bergiat dalam bidang tari. Persembahan teks seperti poster
uji bakat jawatan awam Artis Budaya B 19 pula dilihat memberi cadangan kepada
masyarakat umum gambaran ketinggian dan berat badan seorang penari yang ideal.
Kesan dari hegemoni kebudayaan ini, mula wujud keresahan di kalangan penari dan
penggiat tari terhadap imej tubuh mereka. Karya ini bakal menerbitkan kemungkinan
kepada bagaimana konstruksi imej tubuh penari khususnya di Kuala Lumpur terbentuk
dari hegemoni kebudayaan ini, sekali gus membuka lembaran bagi perbincangan
tentang bagaimana perkara ini dapat diimbangi dengan idea baru iaitu tari sebagai
kebolehan, skil dan bakat dan bukan sesuatu yang diukur daripada persembahan imej
tubuh seseorang semata. |
