Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk membina instrumen hubungan tingkah laku dan persekitaran ke atas peratus lemak tubuh dalam kalangan murid perempuan sekolah rendah 10 dan 11 tahun di daerah Hulu Langat, Selangor. Kajian ini dijalankan secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kaedah rekabentuk korelasi. Kajian ini melibatkan seramai n=250 orang murid perempuan sekolah rendah yang dipilih dengan menggunakan kaedah persampelan rawak gabungan (mudah, berlapis dan sistematik). Kajian telah dijalankan dalam tiga fasa iaitu fasa pertama untuk membangunkan instrumen dan mendapatkan kesahan kandungan daripada pakar bahasa dan pakar bidang, fasa kedua pula adalah kajian rintis bagi mendapatkan kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan item instrumen soal selidik. Manakala bagi fasa ketiga merupakan kajian sebenar yang dijalankan dalam kajian ini. Instrumen di dalam kajian ini menggunakan instrumen soal selidik tingkahlaku dan persekitaran sebanyak 45 item soalan. Instrumen soal selidik mempunyai dua gagasan iaitu tingkah laku dan persekitaran. Gagasan tingkah laku terdiri daripada sedentari, pemakanan dan aktiviti fizikal. Manakala gagasan persekitaran mengandungi komponen media, keluarga dan sekolah. Analisis statistik yang digunakan untuk kesahan soal selidik adalah menggunakan Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) manakala bagi mendapatkan pekali nilai kebolehpercayaan soal selidik pula mengggunakan alpha Cronbach. Sementara, analisis hubungan tingkah laku dan persekitaran menggunakan korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Dapatan kajian bagi analisis alpha Cronbach untuk gagasan tingkah laku dan persekitaran adalah 0.68, hasil analisis CFA bagi ujian Bartlett's Test of Sphericity adalah signifikan (p=.000), nilai KMO (Kaiser Meyer Olkin) 0.58. Hasil analisis nilai korelasi tingkah laku adalah tingkah laku sedentari p = .016 , p < .05 , nilai korelasi r = - .153 adalah signifikan. Manakala tingkah laku pemakanan adalah p = .016, p < .05, nilai korelasi r = -.152 adalah signifikan dan tingkah laku aktiviti fizikal p = .001, p < 0.05 , nilai korelasi r = -.225 juga adalah signifikan. Analisis persekitaran media p = .042 , p < .05 , nilai korelasi r = - .129 adalah signifikan. Manakala pemboleh ubah persekitaran keluarga adalah p = .022 , p < .05, nilai korelasi r = -.166 adalah signifikan dan pemboleh ubah persekitaran sekolah p = .009, p < 0.05 , nilai korelasi r = -.145.Kesimpulannya, instrumen yang dibina boleh digunakan ke atas murid perempuan sekolah rendah berumur 10 dan 11 tahun sebagai instrumen intervensi menangani obesiti dalam kalangan murid perempuan sekolah rendah.
