Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris |
Kajian ini mengkaji keberkesanan pelaksanaan pendekatan pembelajaran berpusatkan
pelajar dalam sesi PdPc terhadap minat dan tahap penguasaan akademik pelajar yang
mengikuti kursus Bahasa Arab untuk Kewangan Islam di empat buah Institut Pengajian
Tinggi di Malaysia. Penyelidikan dalam bidang BAUKI dilihat masih baru di Malaysia
khususnya melibatkan skop pendidikan. Oleh yang demikian, kajian keberkesanan
dalam PdPc ini dilihat sebagai satu keperluan selain dapat memanfaatkan sistem
pendidikan negara. Gabungan reka bentuk deskriptif dan eksperimen kuasi dipilih
berdasarkan teknik praujian dan pascaujian dengan menggunakan gabungan kaedah
kuantitatif dan kualitatif dalam pengumpulan data. Seramai 57 responden telah dipilih
melalui kaedah persampelan bertujuan dan dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan, iaitu
kumpulan eksperimen (30 orang) dan kumpulan kawalan (27 orang). Borang soal
selidik digunakan bagi mengumpul data kuantitatif. Manakala pengumpulan data
kualitatif dijalankan menerusi sesi temu bual separa struktur terhadap empat orang
responden, pemerhatian lapangan, dan bukti dokumen. Pelajar dalam kumpulan
eksperimen didedahkan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berpusatkan pelajar (PBP)
manakala pelajar dalam kumpulan kawalan didedahkan dengan pendekatan
pembelajaran berpusatkan pensyarah (PBG). Dua set soalan iaitu pra dan pascaujian
telah diedarkan kepada kedua-dua kumpulan. Kesan PBP dan PBG ke atas minat pelajar
dianalisis menggunakan MANCOVA, ANCOVA dan korelasi Pearson. Dapatan kajian
soal selidik menunjukkan bahawa pendekatan PBP adalah berkesan dalam
meningkatkan minat pelajar terhadap pembelajaran berbanding pendekatan PBG dalam
kursus tersebut. Kajian juga mendapati bahawa PBP dan PBG mempunyai hubungan
signifikan dengan prestasi pelajar. Terdapat korelasi yang kuat antara minat dan prestasi
mereka yang didedahkan dengan PBP dalam PdPc kursus Bahasa Arab untuk
Kewangan Islam/Muamalat (BAUKI/BAUM). Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil temu bual
dan pemerhatian lapangan didapati bahawa pelajar lebih bersikap proaktif dalam sesi
pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhannya, pendekatan PBP adalah berkesan digunakan
dalam sesi PdPc kursus ini dalam kalangan pelajar ISM Kewangan Islam dan ISM
Muamalat. Pendekatan PBP yang bercirikan PAK21 dan trend Pendidikan 4.0 seperti
perbincangan, penyoalan, lakon peranan, sumbang saran, penyelesaian masalah dan
aktiviti berkumpulan didapati mampu meningkatkan minat dan penguasaan mereka
untuk belajar kursus ini berbanding pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional. Kajian
lanjutan yang komprehensif wajar dijalankan bagi menguji konstruk-konstruk yang
berpotensi memberi pengaruh terhadap PdPc kursus bahasa untuk tujuan khusus
(BUTK) yang lain. |
