Pembangunan profesionalisme pemimpin merupakan inisiatif utama bagi merealisasikan hasrat Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia untuk melahirkan pemimpin sekolah yang berprestasi tinggi. Seramai 744 orang peserta telah mengikuti Program Kelayakan Profesional Pemimpin Pendidikan Kebangsaan bagi ambilan pertama tahun 2018. Sebahagian kecil graduan bagi ambilan tersebut telah dilantik sebagai pengetua atau guru besar. Kajian ini telah dijalankan untuk meneroka impak program latihan berkenaan ke atas pemimpin sekolah. Data telah dikumpul melalui soal selidik, temu bual dan semakan dokumen. Program latihan ini telah memberi impak positif kepada pemimpin sekolah dalam bidang kokurikulum, penyediaan kemudahan infrastruktur, serta jaringan dan jalinan. Dapatan kajian telah diguna pakai untuk semakan semula dan penambahbaikan program berkenaan.
