Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Tujuan kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk menentukan  perbezaan di antara tahap kebimbangan  seketika bagi somantik, kognitif dan keyakinan diri di kalangan pelajar­ pelajar semasa melakukan  aktviti 'flying fox' dan juga ingin melihat perkaitan yang terdapat di antara motif penglibatan  pelajar dalam aktiviti pendidikan luar dengan tahap keyakinan diri pelajar. Responden seramai 35 orang telah terpilih di kalangan pelajar-pelajar lelaki dan perempuan  yang mewakili  unit-unit  beruniform  masing-masing. Soal selidik yang mengandungi tiga  bahagian iaitu bahagian    B dan C, yang mana Bahagian A mengandungi 7 item mengenai butir diri  pelajar dan maklumat umum mengenai aktiviti pendidikan luar. Bahagian B pula adalah soal selidik  yang mengukur tahap kebimbangan pelajar yang melakukan aktiviti 'flying fox' dan Bahagian C terdiri  daripada 30 item soalan yang mengukur motif seseorang pelajar itu mengikuti aktiviti pendidikan  luar. Soal selidik  ini  diedar  kepada  responden  sepuluh  minit  sebelum  jurulatih  pusat  ko  menerangkan bagaimana aktiviti 'flying fox' ini dijalankan. Hasil daripada kajian mendapati, motif penglibatan pelajar lelaki dan perempuan dalam aktiviti   'flying fox' lebih berorientasikan motivasi ekstrinsik dengan status mendahului kemahiran. Manakala  tahap kebimbangan somatik dan kognitif bagi pelajar perempuan lebih tinggi berbanding pelajar  lelaki. Bagi tahap keyakinan diri pelajar lelaki lebih tinggi daripada pelajar perempuan dan yang  terakhir, tidak terdapat perlcaitan yang signifikan di antara motif dengan tahap keyakinan diri  pelajar lelaki yang bersaing tetapi menunjukkan hubungan positifyang rendah di kalangan pelajar  perempuan.
