Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sikap masyarakat kawasan Majlis Perbandaran
Segamat mengasingkan sisa pepejal mengikut amalan pengasingan sisa di punca.
Seramai 377 orang responden yang menetap di sekitar bandar Segamat dipilih sebagai
responden kajian. Data dikumpul menggunakan kaedah persampelan rawak mudah
melalui borang soal selidik dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Secara
keseluruhannya, tahap pengetahuan masyarakat tentang amalan Pengasingan Sisa di
Punca berada di tahap tinggi iaitu min=4.54 dan sisihan piawai=0.54, dan sikap
masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan amalan pengasingan sisa di punca juga berada di tahap
yang tinggi iaitu min=4.61 dan sisihan piawai=0.38 serta kesan amalan pengasingan
sisa di punca terhadap kesejahteraan alam sekitar dan manusia juga berada di tahap
yang tinggi iaitu min=4.57 dan sisihan piawai=0.36. Dapatan kajian juga
menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan masyarakat
tentang amalan pengasingan sisa di punca dengan kesejahteraan alam sekitar dengan
nilai korelasi r=0.871. Seterusnya, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara
pengetahuan masyarakat tentang amalan pengasingan sisa di punca dengan
kesejahteraan manusia dengan nilai korelasi r=0.871. Oleh itu, dapat dirumuskan
bahawa wujud hubungan signifikan tinggi antara pengetahuan masyarakat tentang
amalan pengasingan sisa di punca dengan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan alam sekitar.
Secara kesimpulannya, amalan pengasingan sisa di punca ini dapat mengubah sikap
masyarakat dalam masalah pengurusan sisa pepejal yang berlaku di sekitar Majlis
Perbandaran Segamat. Implikasi kajian ini ialah dapat dijadikan garis panduan bagi
Majlis Perbandaran Segamat dan Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan yang lain dalam
mengatasi isu pengurusan sisa dengan melahirkan kawasan yang bebas daripada
pencemaran. Pada masa yang sama, proses pengurusan sisa pepejal dapat berjalan
dengan lancar tanpa menjejaskan masyarakat dan alam sekitar di sekelilingnya. |
