Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris

Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menguji keberkesanan Model MIT terhadap pemain bola sepak bawah 14 tahun di Negeri Johor. Model MIT terdiri daripada tiga item iaitu Modul Coaching Games for Understanding (CGfU), Instrumen Indeks Penilaian Prestasi Pemain (IPPP) dan tahap prestasi pemain. Modul CGfU dan IPPP diukur berdasarkan kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan, menentukan tahap prestasi, melihat perbandingan dan mengenal pasti hubungan tentang modul dan prestasi pemain bola sepak. Keberkesanan penggunaan Modul CGfU dan IPPP ditentukan melalui soal selidik persetujuan jurulatih. Kekuatan modul dan instrumen dikaji melalui kaedah triangulasi. Reka bentuk kajian menggunakan kaedah gabungan iaitu kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Populasi kajian adalah pemain bola sepak bawah 14 tahun dari sekolahsekolah menengah daerah Johor Bahru. Sampel terdiri daripada 52 orang pemain bola sepak bawah 14 tahun. Kajian ini mendapati nilai kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan Modul CGfU dan instrumen IPPP adalah tinggi. Tahap keseluruhan prestasi pemain bola sepak kumpulan rawatan menggunakan instrumen IPPP adalah pada tahap ‘pracemerlang’ iaitu pemain dapat menghubung kait, menganalisis dan mengorganisasi nilai-nilai murni sepanjang permainan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang kuat dan positif antara prestasi pemain dalam aspek psikomotor, kognitif, dan afektif. Modul CGfU dan IPPP didapati berkesan berdasarkan nilai kaedah triangulasi yang tinggi. Kesimpulannya, Model MIT boleh dijadikan panduan jurulatih untuk melatih permainan untuk kefahaman dan menjadikan pemain lebih intelligent dalam permainan bola sepak, menilai pemain secara menyeluruh dalam aspek psikomotor, kognitif dan afektif serta dapat mengetahui tahap prestasi pemain bola sepak.
