Abstract : Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
Kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti strategi pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu dalam kalangan pelajar sekolah menengah di Selatan Thailand. Strategi dikenal pasti melalui analisis perbezaan min antara strategi pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu berbanding dengan jantina, lokasi sekolah, bahasa pertuturan, serta pencapaian pelajar. Kajian tinjauan ini dijalankan terhadap 180 orang pelajar dengan persampelan secara bertujuan. Instrumen kajian ini terdiri daripada soal selidik dan penulisan karangan pelajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan perisian Statistical Package For Science (SPSS) versi 23.0 bagi menganalisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensi yang melibatkan analisis ujian-t, dan ANOVA sehala. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa strategi pembelajaran bahasa yang kerap digunakan dalam kalangan pelajar Thai ketika mempelajari Bahasa Melayu ialah strategi metakognitif. Diikuti pula strategi gantian dan yang paling sedikit adalah strategi memori. Dapatan ujian-t menunjukkan bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara strategi pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu dengan jantina t (.5084)= 1.897, p>.05, dan bahasa pertuturan t (.1162)= - .858, p>.05 manakala dapatan ujian ANOVA sehala menunjukkan bahawa, terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara strategi pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu dengan lokasi dengan min nilai F(2,177)=9.034, p.05. Kesimpulannya, terdapat pelbagai SPB yang digunakan oleh pelajar Selatan Thailand. Implikasi kajian ini ialah guru di Selatan Thailand perlu menggunakan pelbagai SPB untuk meningkatkan penguasaan Bahasa Melayu dalam kalangan pelajar Thai.
