This study aimed to identify the views of Sayyid Qutb on women's issues by looking through his book Tafsir Fi Zilal Al-Quran, as well as get to know his views on the nature of the agreement between the Quranic texts, and the Sunnah and its comparisons with the views of other commentators from the difference spree. This study also provided a summary of the approach and the way of Sayyid Qutb in the interpretation on women's issues. The chromaticity of graphs is the term used referring to the question of chromatic equivalence and chromatic uniqueness of graphs. Since the arousal of the interest on the chromatically equivalent and chromatically unique graphs, various concepts and results under the said areas of research have been discovered and many families of such graphs have been obtained. The purpose of this thesis is to contribute new results on the chromaticity of graphs, specifically, K4 - homeomorphs with girth 9 and 6-bridge graphs. This dissertation is a report on a research project to develop teaching materials using folktales to teach Malay language as well as positive values to Muslim Thai school children in the provinces of South Thailand. The folktales were collected using three methods, i.e. (a) through interviews with Muslim Thais in South Thailand, (b) through published and unpublished materials, and (c) through data bases in the internet. A collection of such folktales were collected from the provinces of South Thailand. 25 of them were selected after an analisis was done to ensure that they contain positive values. The folktales were adapted for use in the classroom to teach Malay. Each of them is made up of a storey for reading, followed by a series of excercises for comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, idioms, and play acting. The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of Adlerian Group Counseling intervention in increasing perceptions toward family, self-esteem (peers self esteem and school self-esteem) and the reduction of depression of at risk adolescents. 40 subjects were choosen by using purposive sampling. Subjects were selected from Form 4 students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Spaoh, Betong, Sarawak. Subjects were placed into 2 groups, experimental group and control group. Research was done in 4 week with a total of 8 sessions. The quantitative data was collected based on pretest and post test self report measured by using the Adolescent Concern Evaluation (Springer, 1998). The data was analyzed and processed by using the SPSS-X Version 16.0 to analyze t-test at the significant level .05. This research was carried out to determine the level of academic learning time (motor), to compare the academic learning time between male students and female students, and to identify the relationship between students’ academic learning time and skill achievement in Physical Education. This research was conducted in a few secondary schools in the Kulai district, with the total sample of 18 students, comprised of nine male and nine female form 2 students. The methodology used was the observation method, based on time interval. This method was pioneered by Siedentop, Birdwell and Metzler (1979) and modified by Julismah (2000). It was found from the research that, the academic learning time of the entire sample observed is at a low level, which is 35.48%. Also from the findings, it is noticeable that the female students have higher mastery level at 39.05%, as compared to only 31.66% by the male students. The system which is built as an e-Learning kit consists of a computer software for video streaming Lecture-on-Demand (LoD) via internet with guaranteed quality of service. This case study aimed at exploring the use of blog in helping ESL student to express ideas. The study investigated the participants’ responses, perceptions and feelings while and after engaging in blogging, and providing and receiving comments. A class of 30 ESL students participated in this study. Topics were given every week for eight consecutive weeks. Participants were free to log on to the blogs. Data from the blog content and self assessment rubrics were collected concurrently with the study. At the end of the study, participants answered questionnaire. Semi-structure interviews were conducted. Data were coded with initial coding, followed by focused coding. Data from the four sources were triangulated. Three major themes emerged from the study. Firstly, based on the number of entries, it is found that blogging motivated the majority of the participants to voice out their opinions. On the basis of my own teaching experience and literature review, it was shown that many students were not able to master concepts of chemistry particularly in the topic of heat of combustion and they are less interested in this subject. Research findings also indicate that students rarely interact nor willing to assist friends during lesson. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of jigsaw cooperative teaching method on four dependent variables, namely (1) students’ understanding of concepts in chemistry particularly in the topic of heat of combustion; (2) interest in chemistry; (3) level of interaction during lesson; and (4) attitudes toward assisting friends during lesson. This Self-Regulated Learning research was conducted to profile and analyze motivational aspects and learning strategies of science students in Malaysia. An improved instrument in Bahasa Melayu called The Motivation Strategies of Learning Questionnaire-Revised or ‘MSLQ-R’ was developed for this purpose. This instrument was adapted from Motivation Strategies of Learning Questionnaire ‘MSLQ’ developed by Pintrich et al., (1991). The Cronbach alpha values for the first pilot study were 0.817 for motivation and 0.922 for the learning strategies. In the second pilot study the aspect of motivation had a value of 0.894 the while learning strategies was 0.927. Both pilot studies revealed a high internal reliability of the instrument. The findings showed that the mean score of motivation (5.34) is higher than the mean score for the learning strategies (4.55).
