The field of second language, L2 acquisition research always has been associated to understand the underpinnings of second language grammars and the factors that influence the development of those grammars. While this is a wide ranging area of interest, this paper emphasis on the common patterns of grammars of Tamil as second language in particular to phonological acquisition. It is unknown whether it could be easier for a learner of a non-quantity language to Tamil quantity if this feature would instead delay or disturb the acquisition. Therefore, the current research assess the acquisition of Tamil phonology Tamil by the Malay learners. | 122 | 2015 Article | A pilot study into an integrated special needs programme using CIPP Model (M 4 2015) Kannamah Mottan This pilot study aimed to evaluate an integrated special needs programmes in a school from Penang. Direct observations and interviews with the teachers and the coordinator were conducted to corroborate the observations. The context, input, process, product (CIPP) evaluation model was applied to gather information mainly on the elements of the model on the performance of the programme. The results of the observations and the interviews with documents were checked against a check-list from Stufflebeam (2007). From the data recorded and observed it was seen that most of the criteria set for the model is adhered to.

| 123 | 2015 Article | A critical study of SPM Tamil Literature exam paper Kingston Pal Thamburaj This study investigates the quality of SPM Tamil literature question paper. For this purpose last four years examination paper of SPM Tamil literature from Selangor were selected for critical analysis. The demographic information and National Philosophy of Education were given focus. The results of SPM Tamil literature were compared with the students_ achievement. The quality of SPM Tamil literature question paper was critically analysed. Mixed method approach was used. The findings showed that the SPM Tamil literature question papers had fulfilled the National Philosophy of Education. The results obtained by the students showed that 95 % of them had passed in the examination. On the basis of these findings, it is concluded that the SPM Tamil literature question paper fulfils the National Philosophy of Education and also The SPM Tamil literature question papers does provide sufficient time for students to answer the questions and the instructions that given in question paper are easy w..... 30 hits |

Using the survey research method, data were collected using an online questionnaire. Purposive sampling was employed involving 364 undergraduate students at two universities in Perak, namely Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) and MARA University of Technology (UiTM). Descriptive Analysis and Structural Equation Modelling Analysis were carried out to answer the research questions and draw conclusions for the research. The results showed a moderate level of IG usage for seeking mental health information and emotional support, a high level of mental health awareness, and positive help-seeking attitudes among the students. We extend the prior literature by covering broader dimensions of diversity such as gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, educational background and educational level diversity. A total of 312 observations was made based on selected samples by using stratified random sampling method from Bursa Malaysia from 2016 until 2018. The sample consist of non-financial listed firms from various industry sectors. This study used panel data analysis with random effect to see the relationship between the variables tested. | 128 | 2014 Article | Iranian attitudes and test mode preference: factors contributing to the acceptance of computerized test Jafre Abidin This article explores the probable relationship between the attitude towards the use of computer and test performance on Computer-Based-Tests (CBT) among Iranian university English as foreign language (EFL) learners and comparing the results of CBT and Paper-and-Pencil Test (PPT). Analyzing data from test results and follow up interviews, this study revealed that test takers showed a high positive attitude and preference towards the use of computer and computerized tests. This study adapted a mixed-method approach. A sample of 202 Iranian EFL learners participated in the study given two equivalent English proficiency tests in computerized and paper and pencil types. Using paired-sample t-test, correlational analysis, and ANOVA, the findings of this study indicated that Iranian test takers had overall positive attitudes towards computerized tests with higher scores on paper and pencil tests. Data from 30 provincial-level regions in Mainland China are collected from 2013 to 2022. The study employs the entropy method for index construction, system-GMM for dynamic panel estimation, heterogeneity testing to identify regional differences, and the mediating effect test. The findings show, the improved index (DEDI) effectively measures digital economy development across China. The system-GMM results documented a positive and significant first-order coefficient for DEDI, with a negative and significant second-order coefficient. It is an instrument used to measure one_s intelligence level and it is designed based on the Raven Standard Progressive Matrices _ Plus Version and Mill Vocabulary. This is a quantitative study where the participants were selected using simple random sampling method. 773 students from one of the public universities in Malaysia, of different ethnic backgrounds (545 Malays, 228 non-Malays) from eight faculties have taken this test. The data obtained was analysed using Winsteps version 3.64.2, and in the 88 vocabulary items (open ended and multiple-choice questions), race-related DIF was found in a number of items.
