Kajian ini adalah mengenai aspek pemaknaan dalam perkamusan Melayu, dengan tumpuan khusus terhadap  Kamus  Melayu  Inggeris  Dewan.  Aspek makna yang dibincangkan ialah aspek huraian definisi  mengikut amalan pendefinisian COBUILD. Setiap kata entri yang dikaji dihuraikan maknanya  berdasarkan analisis terhadap data korpus berkomputer. Tesis ini mengandungi enam bab. Bab I membincangkan latar belakang kajian, tujuan kajian, skop  kajian dan metodologi kajian. Bab II pula membincangkan  konvensi  leksikografi  dan  amalan  pendefinisian oleh projek COBUILD dan Kamus Dewan. Bab  III  menerangkan  data  korpusberkomputer,  iaitu peranti utama yang digunakan untuk mentakrif sesuatu kata entri.  Bab ini turut membincangkan baris-baris konkordans, iaitu datayang dikeluarkan daripada data korpus berkomputer.  Daripada  baris-baris  konkordans  ini,  makna ditentukan berdasarkan kolokasi kata. Kajian ini dijalank:an untuk melihat unsur-unsur estetika dan simbolik dalam persembahan dikir  barat Kelantan iaitu mengkaji apakah simbol-simbol yang dapat diterjemahkan melalui  struktur dalam  persembahan  dikir  barat  yang diaplikasi  dalam kehidupan nilai dan norma masyarakat Melayu.  Penelitian telah dikhususkan terhadap lagu-lagu nyanyian dikir barat Halim Yazid. Unsur-unsur  keindahan melalui penonjolan sastera tradisional dan sastera moden yang berkait rapat dengan nilai  dan norma masyarakat Melayu yang cukup tinggi nilainya di samping melihat perubahan dalam dikir  barat yang dibawa oleh Halim Yazid. This study aims to delineate the developmental trajectory of modal semantics in Mandarin-speaking young children, to map the relationship between modality and its formal expressions, and to reveal the cognitive mechanisms of subjectification in acquisition. Drawing on the Chinese Children_s Multimodal Speech Corpus, it analyses longitudinal data from three children aged 1_4 to investigate the acquisition of modal verbs, modal adverbs, and modal particles with respect to onset age, frequency distribution, and semantic functions. A mixed-methods approach is employed, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses, comparison, statistical examination, and exemplification, as well as static distribution and dynamic investigation. This study aims to identify the characteristics of Chinese ancient inscriptions and their application in contemporary Chinese calligraphy. Drawing from established theories in Chinese calligraphy and relevant literature, including the Theory of Chinese Calligraphy adapted from Chen (2022), the study delves into the intricate details of Chinese ancient inscriptions. Data collection methods included a comprehensive review of literature and visual analysis, guided by the principle of "Qi," to elucidate the underlying characteristics embedded in ancient inscriptions. The Malaysian government's Film Censorship Board, known as Lembaga Penapis Filem, has been in charge of film censorship for the past few years (LPF). Therefore, this research aims to examine the impact of local and foreign film censorship on young adult_s behaviour in Malaysia. This study is based on qualitative data obtained through a narrative literature review, drawing from fifteen journal articles about the research topic identified using Google Scholar from 2019 to 2023. According to the survey, there is a worrying trend among Malaysian young adults. They are becoming more likely to access sensitive information against the LPF's restrictions, especially in areas like politics, religion, and homosexuality. Pengajaran Kesusasteraan Melayu Komunikatif (KMK) menuntut pendekatan pedagogi yang bukan sahaja menekankan analisis teks, malah mampu membina penghayatan emosi dan empati murid terhadap karya sastera. Sehubungan dengan itu, kajian ini bertujuan meneliti pengalaman emosi murid dalam memahami watak cerpen KMK melalui aplikasi Pendekatan Mengalami dan Menghayati. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kajian kualitatif berbentuk penyelidikan di bilik darjah dengan melibatkan seramai 25 orang murid Tingkatan 4 yang mengikuti mata pelajaran KMK. Instrumen kajian terdiri daripada pemerhatian berfokus, refleksi bertulis murid dan temu bual separa berstruktur. Data dianalisis secara tematik dengan sokongan analisis kekerapan respons yang dipersembahkan dalam bentuk graf.
